Some inconvenient truths about the Government's plan for net zero emissions by 2050

This plan is nothing but a last minute, grab-bag of ideas to let Morrison off the hook at the COP26 conference. It:

• contains no new policies, funding or programs, 

• contains few credible strategies and lots of misleading statements and statistics,

• completely ignores fossil fuel emissions, planning to grow our emissions by 149 megatonnes of CO2 by 2050,

• makes Australia the laughing stock and whipping boy of the world,

• leaves all export jobs exposed to carbon border tariffs, and

• does nothing to contain climate change.
